realize it because it’s so obvious. Obvious problems are the most dangerous
problems because we always overlook them! But the great thing about obvious
problems is that once you become aware of them and remember them, you can do
something about them immediately and experience a dramatic, instant effect!
People
quit exercising and fall back into bad habits because they don’t transfer what they do to the other 23 hours of the
day. Exercise is conditioning. You are teaching your body a healthier, better
way to live. So it’s a simple numbers game. If you are conditioning a better,
healthier way to live in only one hour out of 24, how can you expect those
changes to latch in and become permanent? The numbers say that you can’t. Do
you want 23 to 1 odds against health and longevity?
You
can instantly level the playing field and even the odds that are lined up
against your health and longevity. You can perform three simple tricks to bring
your healthier, better way of living to every other minute of your day,
including while you sleep!!!
Remembering
to perform these three tricks will immediately begin
to structurally reorganize your body so that you: move without pain, reclaim
your innately abundant strength, prevent injuries and do not interrupt your
genetic gift of a long life.
More
important than your quantity of life, these three tricks will improve your quality
of life. You will feel better immediately, just from remembering to perform
them for a few seconds throughout the day. Performing them will make you smile,
laugh, and regain that little spark in your eye that you had when you knew a
special secret that you were just dying to tell your best friend.
The
best thing is that you don’t need to know why for it to work!!! You just need
to practice it for a few seconds at a time throughout the day when you remember
to say it in your mind. What it causes is subtle (and sometimes dramatic)
releases of restrictions in the vast spidery network of connective tissue
called the myofascial matrix. Simultaneously your
biochemistry begins releasing “pleasure” molecules while reabsorbing toxic
stress molecules, so you experience daily bliss and you stop feeling chronic
aches, pains and grumpiness. You also get a jolt of energy that is healthier,
more effective and longer lasting than a cup of coffee. It will also help your
immune system to function better because it is no longer burdened as much.
You’ll get sick less and become healthier faster.
What
are these magical little tricks that you can perform to immediately receive
such incredible benefits?
Whenever
you are standing or walking, imagine that you are being strung marionette-like
to the ceiling or from the sky by a rope that is connected to the top of your
crown. The crown is the part of the top of your head that is on top of your
spine, and not the middle of your head.
Let
your spine dangle from your head like a string of pearls, 100% gravitationally
balanced, each vertebra resting perfectly beneath the next all the way down to
your tail bone, your coccyx. Let that beautiful slight curve of your spine
properly hold you up like a bow pointed at the sky holds an arrow.
As
you lift from your crown inhale through your nose and lift even higher. Keep
your shoulders down on top of your rib cage with your arms hanging down along
your thighs.
Slightly
tuck your pelvis underneath so that you’re not overarching your lower back and
exhale through your mouth. As you relax and let your pelvis release backwards,
allow the breath to be sucked back in through your nose as you lift from the
crown again. Perform 3 repetitions of this: exhale through the mouth and tuck
the pelvis, and allow the inhale to happen as you relax the pelvis back and
lift from the crown.
Remain
balanced on mid foot – not on your heels, not on the balls of your feet, but
right in the middle.
Now
smile. Keep your teeth together. Tuck your pelvis with an exhale through your
mouth. Relax and lift with the crown as you let the inhale happen. Perform
another 3 repetitions, back and forth.
This
is your Mountain. Tall, strong, confident, able to address anything come wind,
rain or snow, but always knowing that the Sun will shine on you most and best
because your head is in the clouds and your feet are on the ground. Move with
this throughout the day, whenever you can remember it.
A
King and Queen never slouch. Their confidence imbues everyone with a sense that
everything is okay.
As
you sit, tuck your pelvis underneath slightly and subtly roll your shoulders
forward so that you can let your shoulder blades slide outwards like the
electric doors at a grocery store. Exhale through this as you slide those doors
open and reach backwards with your mid-back. Shoulders round, exhale down.
As
you relax forward back to neutral position, lift with your crown like you do
when standing like a Mountain. Inhale through the nose. Keep your chest down
and don’t arch your back, but let your heart open and your belly fill. Let your
rib cage open like big French doors as the inhalation fills your lungs. Let
your belly fill and your navel push away from your spine like you’re filling a
bag with precious crystal clear water. Practice this 3 times. Exhale through
the mouth, tuck the pelvis, roll the shoulders and slide your shoulder blades
open. Inhale through the nose, lift from your crown and let your heart open. Back and forth. It doesn’t have to be extreme. You receive
100% of the benefits of this from even slight motion so long as you are
breathing!
Now
smile like you’re waving to a good friend that you haven’t seen in a long time
(because this is literally what’s happening within you!). Exhale through the
mouth, tuck the pelvis, roll the shoulders and slide your shoulder blades open.
Inhale through the nose, lift from your crown and let your heart open. Go back
and forth 3 times.
Whenever
you can throughout the day, remember to sit like a King or Queen. You are
inherently, innately, abundantly regal. Allow your sitting posture to reflect
your inner royalty and you will instantly feel dramatically better for the rest
of the day!
The
most neglected trick is actually the one where people think that they’re
relaxing. Unfortunately, even in yoga this is the most difficult pose… And
remember, it’s the most obvious problems that are the most dangerous to us
because we don’t see them or acknowledge them.
As
you’re lying on your back on your bed, floor, couch or grass, bring your two
heels together in your center line and let your pinky toes relax and fall to
the sides as your legs outwardly rotate.
Rest
your arms gently at your sides with your palms turned upward and allow your
fingers to naturally curl. Try to bring your elbows and pinky fingers as close
to your body as is comfortable.
Close
your eyes. Relax your eyes and forehead. Relax your jaw. Let your teeth touch
but don’t clench them together. Relax your cheeks and your neck. Let the
tension slough off of you, melting into the ground.
Exhale
and slightly tuck your pelvis underneath until your lower back is flat on the
floor. Allow your belly-button to fall down to your spine and melt into the
floor.
As
you relax back to neutral position, let the inhale happen through your nose as
you extend the crown of your head away from your heels. Your chin will slightly
tuck (not to your chest, but just enough to allow your crown to lift.) Eventually,
with practice, as you reclaim 100% of your health, your neck will become
absolutely flat on the ground with no air underneath. As the inhalation
happens, let your belly lift towards the sky as though you were filling a
balloon full of helium.
Go
back and forth 3 times. Exhale through the mouth and tuck your pelvis until it
is flat, letting your navel melt to your spine. Inhale
through the nose as you lift from the crown and let your chin slightly tuck
and your belly expand effortlessly up towards the sky.
Now
smile slightly. You have no more stress, no worries, nowhere to go, nothing to
think about, and nothing to do. It can and will all wait. Rest finally the
entire night or for the length of your nap. You are 100% at ease.
